The city of Girona, nestled between four rivers, is a charming city and a hot spot with its many cultural offerings at any time of the year. The combination of green areas and old stones makes the old town of Girona like a spectacular maze of beautiful royal gardens and ancient castle walls.
Girona´s, also named Gerunda during the roman period, allows us to walk through it’s incredible historical fortifications and castle walls that where build around the Cathedral to defend the city from it's many foreign attackers through the ages.
Girona is a safe city that combines leisure, gastronomic, business and cultural activities. In a radius of less than 50 kilometres from the center you can visit the Banyoles Lake, the medieval city of Besalú, the volcanic region of Garrotxa, the forest of Jordà, the Dalí Museum of Figueres, the Greco-Roman archeological ruins of Empúries or the beaches of the Costa Brava.
Thanks to excellent transport links, Girona is very closed to the Empordà, the Costa Brava and the Pyrenees, and only an hour from Barcelona (by car or train) and from Perpignan (France).
